CINCINNATI - St. Louis Cardinals veteran Adam Wainwright appears right on track for a big milestone in his sendoff season. Wainwright picked up his second victory of the 2023 season, and his second within the past week, on Tuesday. He now stands at 197 career wins, three away from becoming just the fifth active pitcher with at least 200 victories. "I've just been fortunate to play at this specific place for so long, and what a wonderful blessing that's been," said Wainwright last Thursday after his first of his back-to-back victories. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A tragic crash kills three women in north St. Louis County. The tragedy unfolded on New Halls Ferry Road near Seven Hills Drive; two of the victims were coworkers.Police have identified 56-year-old Helene Seper, 57-year-old Sherry Prson, and 49-year-old Crystal Fowler as the victims. A moving tribute of a dove was released to honor three women killed in the car crash. If you're liking the mid-60s temperatures and partly cloudy weather the Los Angeles area is seeing right now, you're in luck. The Memorial Day weekend forecast looks remarkably similar.Low temperatures will be in the high 50s each day, rising only about 10 degrees at their peak.At most, temperatures are expected to hit 70 or 71 degrees on Sunday and Monday.The Inland Empire, however, will see a slight increase in temperatures, with highs rising from the low 70s to high 70s over the next seven days.High in the coastal areas will remain in the low-to-mid 60s for the next week."If you're planning a beach weekend, it could be a little bit on the cool side," said KTLA's Mark Kriski.
