FRANKFURT, Germany — Three Patriots players didn’t make the trip to Germany for the team’s Week 10 matchup with the Colts at Frankfurt Stadium, and two of those three were listed as having “personal” matters.Left tackle Trent Brown was ruled out Thursday with an ankle injury and a personal issue. Three teens are in custody after allegedly “violently” attacking someone in an incident believed to be motivated by hate towards the 2SLGBTQ+ community.Police say a victim was in the area of Yonge and Wellesley streets around 1 p.m. Wednesday when they became “concerned with the treatment of a group of young women and intervened to check on their well-being.”It is alleged the victim got into an argument with a group and was physically attacked by three suspects. TORONTO — Sleep Country Canada Holdings Inc. reported its third-quarter profit fell compared with a year ago as it saw pockets of softness in consumer demand, particularly on larger ticket items.Sleep Country chief executive Stewart Schaefer says the company was pleased with the performance amid an evolving environment, as high interest rates and inflation continue to affect consumer confidence. Several Ontario municipalities have turned down the province’s offer of strong mayor powers because of concerns either with housing targets the government has tied to them, or worries that the powers would lend themselves to a “dictatorship.”The Progressive Conservative government has assigned housing targets to 50 municipalities — their portion of the 1.5 million homes that Premier Doug Ford has promised to get built by 2031. PALATINE, Ill. — A suburban man was charged after allegedly enticing a high school teen girl with cash to enter his van and then sexually abusing her.During the morning of Halloween and Nov. 6, James King, 31, of Arlington Heights, allegedly approached two separate high school-aged girls, on the Northeast side of town, in a black Lexus SUV and enticed each girl with cash.One of the girls did get into the vehicle and was sexually abused before being dropped off at school, according to police.King was apprehended on Tuesday following an investigation, police said.He has been charged with two counts of child abduction and aggravated criminal sex abuse.Biden set to meet China's Xi next week in San Francisco for high-stakes summit
