Interstate 10 remained shut down Monday following a fire beneath it over the weekend. More than 160 firefighters battled the blaze as it spread across a length of about six football fields. The cause of the three-hour fire is still under investigation; no injuries were reported.Commuters were urged to find alternate routes, with significant delays expected for the foreseeable future.“The mile-long I-10 closure between Alameda Street and Santa Fe Avenue will have ripple effects on surface streets and other key freeways including State Route 60 and Interstate 5, the California Highway Patrol said,” according to the Associated Press.“Officials couldn’t yet offer a timeline for when the highway might reopen.”On Sunday, Gov. FREMONT — A suspect was arrested Sunday night in a shooting earlier in the day the left one man dead and another man wounded, police said Monday.Police did not say if the suspect is a man or woman or provide any other information about them.No information has been released yet about the men shot, including their ages, residences and if they knew each other. The identity of the person killed has also not been released.The shooting happened about 4 p.m. Sunday in the 34000 block of Fremont Boulevard.Police found two men shot. They were taken to a hospital, where one of them died.A motive for the shooting has not been released.Police have not yet said how they were able to identify the suspect, where they made the arrest or if the suspect knew the victims.This is a developing report. (KRON) -- One person has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in the parking lot of a Chili's Grill and Bar in San Leandro, the San Leandro Police Department said Monday. Samuel Langworthy was arrested on Saturday evening for allegedly shooting and killing a woman outside the restaurant just a few hours earlier.Langworthy, 48, of Oakland, was taken into custody by California Highway Patrol officers after his vehicle was seen on Interstate 5 near Coalinga.
